25 Pockets of Bristol

25 Pockets of Bristol
Whoever is approached is asked if they want to participate in the artwork by giving something (anything) from their pocket. Participants can then write/sign their name and specify the next pocket / location and person (in Bristol) for me to visit.
Participants may also write on the picture frame something about themselves and/or confirm that they match the specifications given by the previous participant. They may also write a message.
Finally, participants sign the picture frame.
Whatever is received will be stuck on canvas at a coordinate relative to where, in Bristol, it was given (there is a map at the back of the painting). These pockets of participation will be connected so that the journey I made is outlined.
With help, the painting paints itself.

Andy gave me the first specification: someone in fancy dress at the harbourside.

The picture will belong to Andy, along with the notebook, and he can do with it what he wishes.
If you want to buy or negotiate ownership of ‘25 pockets of Bristol’ when it is finished, find and notify Andy (‘Big Ginger Hair’) who can be found about town selling the Big Issue, alternatively,  ask for him at the Big Issue headquarters in Stokes Croft.

25 Pockets of Bristol tells a story about and within 25 pockets of Bristol and it comments on the relationship between art and property.
